Fans, Exhausts & RangehoodsPerth-Wide Installation

Ceiling fans. Bathroom exhaust fans. Kitchen rangehoods. Three-in-one heat-fan-light units. Laundry exhaust. All of it needs a sparkie, and most of it gets installed badly by handymen who never touch the ducting.

The single most common fan job I get called to fix is a bathroom exhaust that vents straight into the roof cavity instead of out through the eave. Moisture sits in the insulation, mould starts up, you never know until the ceiling's sagging.

Fans & Ventilation FAQs

What's the difference between a kitchen exhaust fan and a rangehood?
A rangehood sits directly over your cooktop and pulls steam and grease through a filter. A kitchen exhaust fan is general room ventilation. Rangehoods are mandatory for gas cooktops under WA building code.
Does my bathroom exhaust have to vent outside?
Yes. Dumping moist air into the roof cavity leads to mouldy insulation and eventually a sagging ceiling. Half a day to fix properly with ducting through the soffit or eave.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there's no existing power point?
Yes - we run a new circuit from the switchboard, install a new ceiling point, and can add a dual-switch if you want separate light/fan control. Usually half a day.
Are 3-in-1 bathroom units worth it?
Good ones, yes - IXL Tastic, HPM Hydor, and Fanco make solid units. Cheap ones rattle after a year and the heat lamps blow constantly. Worth spending a bit more.
How do I get a quote for exhaust fan replacement?
SMS a photo to 0415 966 469 showing the existing unit and we'll quote same day. If the previous install vented into the roof cavity, ducting repair will be part of the quote.
