CCTV Installation PerthBy Your Licensed Sparkie

Most CCTV “installers” in Perth are security resellers. They're not sparkies. They'll turn up with a drill and a camera, leave you with a cable running across the skirting board and the NVR plugged into an extension cord behind a pot plant. Then something trips six months later and nobody answers the phone.

We do it the other way round. I'm a licensed electrician (EC 9715) who installs CCTV as part of the electrical job. Cable through the roof space or cavity, not surface-run. Power hardwired, not plugged. Network isolation done properly. And the same bloke who installs it answers the phone when you've got a question about it.

What We Install

4/8/16-channel NVR systems
Weatherproof outdoor cameras
PoE cameras (Power over Ethernet)
Doorbell cameras (Ring/Eufy/Reolink/Ubiquiti)

CCTV Installation FAQs

How many cameras do I need?
Standard house: 4 cameras. Double-storey or corner lot: 6-8 cameras. Commercial properties get a free assessment to determine the right number.
Wi-Fi or wired cameras?
Wired (PoE) every time we can. Wi-Fi cameras drop out when someone starts streaming Netflix. PoE is more reliable and we run the cables properly through roof space.
Can I view cameras on my phone?
Yes - we set up the app before we leave. iOS and Android, with motion notifications configured to your preferences.
Where does the footage get stored?
NVR (Network Video Recorder) inside your house, in a locked cabinet if you want. Stores 30+ days of footage depending on camera count and resolution.
Do I need council approval?
Own property filming own property - no. If cameras capture public areas or neighbours, you need to inform them and comply with the WA Surveillance Devices Act.
